Another year is about to end, and we should make a brief recap of it. Instead of pointing all key events (and they were a lot) we are going to make a list of the biggest political losers of 2016 worldwide.
This is more than enough to make a short but clear picture of what happened in the year. And it is one of the last opportunities for “the losers” to be mentioned somewhere because a lot of them will be forgotten soon.
The US presidential reality show is over. And the winner is “The Donald”.
Against all official odds, Donald Trump was elected to become the 45th president of the “exceptional country”.
And despite getting fewer total votes than Crooked Hillary Clinton, he crushed her due to the way the most democratic electoral system in the world works.
And of course, it was Putin’s fault.
These world leaders make the top headline. They are strong, famous and they all have things in common. One of the things they all share is that they are probably the top world leaders who have humiliated Barack Obama either directly or indirectly with their words, policies and actions during the last 8 years. This way they’ve all contributed to the obvious trend of putting an end on the US dominance in the world.
Americans are getting closer to the big election day when they will have to pick according to many of them “the lesser of the 2 evils”. Hitlery Clinton vs Donald Duck… Ooops, Hillary or Trump. (Btw, there are 2 other candidates but who cares about them, right?). A big choice!
The Russian Air Forces began active strikes in Syria against positions of ISIS and Al Qaeda allies. All this happened right after president Putin spoke at the United Nations General Assembly on Monday Sept 28th. Russia has been preparing for this in the last weeks and it was a matter of time to take an active role in the conflict. The actions fully comply with international law.
Russia will not participate in ground operations. They will support the existing Syrian army of president Assad plus anyone who takes part in a larger anti-terrorist coalitions (Kurds, Iraq, Iran, Hezbollah units).
What is most likely to happen in the next week is a default of Greece. That means the country will be officially bankrupt. This is the news that makes all main headlines lately. But despite that Greece has been a main discussion topic over the last years very few people seem to understand what is going on and what are the real stakes.
Like with almost all main discussion topics people are fed with crap that suites one side or the other without even touching the surface of the real game that’s going on.
Yesterday was May 9th 2015 – the day marked the 70th anniversary of the defeat of Nazi Germany in World War II. Technically most European countries celebrate on May 8th in their own countries. May 9th is the date when Russia celebrates (due to the time difference when the defeat was signed) and normally the whole world shares the celebration along with Russia at least out of respect.
Does NATO really exist? Seriously.
As the world gets closer to a new major war this question is worth asking.
Now, it may sound like a strange question… What do you mean with “does NATO exists?”, everyone knows it exists? It’s an official organisation. It does exist, right?
Well, yes, on paper. It exists as a structure, rather complicated structure but still, it’s there.
I’ve learned over the last years to look how people intepret and what are their reactions to horrible events that have happened. And the way most people react is usually silly, primitive or ignorant. Of course those reactions and interpretations of events are usually forced upon via the mass media. It happens all the time, it’s kind of predictable.
This is important because the fact that someone sophisticated enough can predict and control the mass behavior of the crowd in case of specific event that takes place is a stimulus for inducing more events.
The shootings in Paris, France are an act of terror that naturally created all sorts of reactions.
It’s 2015. The world has not ended yet.
2014 was rich in significant events and important changes. In this article we will make a brief recap of what happened in the world during the last 365 days.
In one sentence it was another year of controlled global chaos – many things happened, people get confused, plans change but overall it seems that what happened was well orchestrated or at least expected to a big degree.
However 2014 had some events that will probably be historical marks in the future. So lets recap them.
